TBA - Early 2020 UBC Free to Attend

An all-female 24 hour hackathon, hosted at the University of British Columbia, where students will come together on a journey to innovate, inspire, and learn. We welcome all participants who identify as female, non-binary, agender, or intersex. You do not have to be a UBC student to attend; high school students, post-secondary students, and recent graduates (graduation date within one year of January 2019) are all eligible to participate.

vhHacks 2020

April 11-12, 2020 UBC AMS Nest Free to Attend 6133 University Blvd, Vancouver, BC V6T 1Z1

vhHacks is Greater Vancouver's largest hackathon dedicated to high school students (like you!) More than one hundred students will gather and collaborate to build and showcase a project in under 24 hours. No experience? No problem! vhHacks is beginner friendly, so anyone can join and learn a new skill!

Lumohacks is a 24-hour hackathon where we will use tech to improve the lives of people facing mental health challenges, especially from the military and first responder communities. Lumohacks is open to everyone who share the passion for healthcare and tech!

Whether you're a seasoned hacker or a tech newbie, nwHacks welcomes you; just bring an open mind and an insatiable desire to learn, and we’ll take care of the rest. Create a product, learn new skills, and have fun with friends, old and new - all in 24 hours.

HackPrep #3 - Twilio 101


LocalHost #4 January 10th 3:15pm to 4:45pm Room 315, BNSS Beginner Friendly

For our third HackPrep, we will be learning how to send SMS messages and phone calls via the Twilio API. At hackathons, there's a limited amount of time to create your projects, this means you should use as many APIs as possible. This workshop will help you learn the process of using an API and integrating it within your own app.

Join us at Burnaby North to learn some new skills and build your own project from start to finish. NO PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! At our FIRST Local Hack Day, we'll be learning how to make an Action for Google Assistant.

Thank you everyone for coming! We weren't able to finish the workshop completely, but we'll be finishing up next meeting, Nov. 15. If you can't wait however, you can finish it on your own time by clicking the 'Slideshow' button below.

If you finish the workshop, make sure to fill out the quiz! It takes 5min and helps MLH know that we actually did the workshop.
